Life in the Desert Ecosystem

Contrary to popular belief, deserts are bustling with life. Species have evolved unique adaptations to thrive in harsh conditions, from water retention strategies to nocturnal lifestyles to escape the relentless heat.

Desert rainfall is rare but transformative. Even a brief shower can trigger a bloom of life, as dormant seeds sprout, and dry riverbeds flow, supporting an explosion of biodiversity unseen during the dry spells.
